A Song for Peterborough – There With You

The Voyager Academy in partnership with Vivacity and Peterborough City Council, have commissioned a Song for Peterborough to be performed as the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay enters the Peterborough Embankment on its tour around Britain.

Composed By Chris Russell and George Owens, orchestrated by Simon Allen and led by the Voyager Academy the song will be performed by school children from across Peterborough, the Peterborough male voice choir and other community members at this iconic event.

The song and the orchestration have been written especially to reflect the talent in Peterborough. Nearly 700 voices will be joined by 50 drummers which reflect the cultural diversity of Peterborough.

Rehearsals have already begun in preparation for the big event and those lucky enough to have been chosen to be involved can click on their part to practice at home.
